Assalamualaikum .

it's been almost 2 weeks MH370 missing . still been under investigation on what actually happened on it . and within this period there are so many speculations by public people. they have said that the plane was been hijacked, crash landing , been bombed and so on. and there also some negative speculations been pointing to air crew and passenger. i dun know what else to say but it's so sad how could we people did thse. we should not pointing to each other. we should have cooperation and pray for the safety of them. may them safe . And dun make any speculations and create ur own ideas on this case till there has been official news from authorities. Also don't blame anybody either the captain, co-pilot , cabin crew , passenger , ground crew, or authorites and so on. Everything happens for a reason. Mungkin Allah s.w.t sedang menguji kita. Think positive .

Been a captain is not an easy task, all lives depending oh him / her. During training we have been well- trained to make a wise decision on watever happened. And the most important is always make passenger's safety as priority.

it's such a big lost for our country Malaysia. Anyway, watever happen we need to "redha " . please pray for their safety. hopefully they will come home soon safely.

Pesawat dipanah petir, empat terkorban

JAKARTA 19 Jan. - Sebanyak empat orang terkorban apabila sebuah pesawat ringan terhempas lalu terbakar di sebuah pantai di timur Indonesia, hari ini, selepas dipanah petir.

Menurut pegawai, ketika kejadian, pesawat dua enjin, Piper Seneca itu, sedang dalam perjalanan dari timur wilayah Papua ke bandar Tual di Kepulauan Maluku apabila ia terperangkap dalam ribut pada tengah hari tadi.

Seorang saksi, Akib Hanubun memberitahu AFP, pesawat itu dilanda angin kencang dan hujan lebat sebelum dipanah petir lalu terhempas berdekatan sebuah kampung.

"Sayap kiri pesawat itu patah akibat dipanah kilat.

"Pesawat itu kemudian terbang senget sebelum terhempas ke tanah dengan kuat dan terbakar," kata saksi berusia 47 tahun itu.

Jurucakap Kementerian Pengangkutan, Bambang Ervan mengesahkan kesemua empat orang di dalam pesawat itu terbunuh di tempat kejadian.

"Mereka terdiri daripada seorang juruterbang, dua jurutera dan seorang pekerja landasan," katanya.

Pesawat Piper Seneca dikeluarkan oleh syarikat Piper Aircraft yang berpangkalan di Amerika Syarikat. Jet yang terhempas itu milik syarikat Intan Angkasa Air Service, menurut Ervan.

Menurut laman web syarikat itu, syarikat itu menyediakan perkhidmatan sokongan bagi industri minyak dan gas, perlombongan, penyelidikan, perhutanan dan industri lain di seluruh Indonesia. - AFP

Ulu Yam plane crash: Eagles, strong wind believe to be the cause

Assalamualaikum.

KUALA LUMPUR: An attempt to avoid two eagles during windy weather is believed to have been the cause of the crash involving a Cessna 172 aircraft at the Batu Dam, Ulu Yam.

The pilot and two trainee pilots on board survived the crash but were injured. 

Syed Haidhar Syed Zulkifli, 25, one of the trainee pilots, related this to his mother Sharifah Hatun Hanisah Syed Abd Rahman at the Emergency Ward of the Selayang Hospital following their rescue on Saturday. 

"My son told me that strong winds were blowing when they tried to avoid the eagles, causing the aircraft to lose balance," Sharifah Hatun told reporters at the hospital. 

The Cessna 172 plane from the Royal Selangor Flying Club crashed on a forested slope at the Batu Dam in the Batu Caves area here at around 5pm on Friday. 

The other two on board were the pilot, Captain Saiful Farid Amri Amrizal, 22, and Shaiful Zafiq Razali, 24, also a trainee pilot. 

Sharifah Hatun Hanisah was thankful that her son survived and praised the pilot for handling the aircraft well despite the critical situation.

"My son said the winds were very strong and the aircraft could not do a thing, but the pilot was efficient and made a crash landing," she said.

She also stated her disappointment with the media for spreading false news that her son and the two others were killed in the incident.

"I have heart problems and there are irresponsible quarters making assumptions on the Internet regarding the crash," she said.

However, she said the incident had not disheartened her eldest of four children from becoming a pilot.

Syed Haidar had been interested in flying since he was small and would continue training to complete his flying hours, she said. - Bernama

MALACCA: A light aircraft piloted by a 20-year-old trainee pilot crash landed in front of an apartment block at Cheng Heights, near the Pulau Gadong traffic junction here.

P.Derenessroo, who was alone, escaped unhurt in the 11.56am incident, Thursday.

Derenessroo who was piloting a Piper 28, had earlier radioed the Batu Berendam Airport air traffic controller stating that he had encountered engine trouble.

Shortly after sending the report, the plane crashed.

Fighter jets escort US plane after hijack warning

LOS ANGELES: Two F-15 fighter jets escorted an Alaska Airlines flight into Seattle's main airport Thursday after an anonymous caller told the FBI that a male passenger could be a hijacker, authorities said.

The Boeing 737 was escorted until it landed without incident in Seattle at about 7:00 pm (0300 GMT Friday), the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), which monitors US and Canadian airspace, said in a statement.

An FBI spokesman in Honolulu, Tom Simon, told AFP that an anonymous caller had informed his office that there could be a hijacker aboard Alaska Airlines Flight 819, which originated in Hawaii's Kona, and identified the man by name.

Flight crew were alerted, and the plane landed "without any drama at all," Simon said.

Local law enforcement and FBI officials removed the unidentified man from the plane for questioning.

Simon could not say whether the man was still in custody late Thursday, and calls to the FBI office in Seattle were not immediately answered. - AFP

8 maut nahas pesawat di Mexico

TUXTLA GUTIERREZ (Mexico): Sekurang-kurangnya lapan orang maut apabila pesawat kecil terhempas sebaik berlepas di wilayah Chiapas, selatan Mexico dan menyebabkan asal tebal kelihatan di lapangan terbang di situ, kata pegawai, hari ini. 

Pegawai pertahanan awam, Luis Manuel Garcia berkata, laporan awal menyebut mereka yang terkorban ialah tiga dewasa, tiga kanak-kanak, juruterbang dan pembantu juruterbang dalam nahas di Lapangan Terbang Tuxtla Gutierrez. 

Saksi berkata, asap keluar dari bahagian enjin selepas pesawat Piper PA-31 Navajo berlepas. 

Imej televisyen menunjukkan asal tebal kelihatan di kawasan lapangan terbang selepas pesawat itu terhempas di atas padang dan terbakar.

Several 'slight injuries' in Dreamliner evacuation, says police

TOKYO - Several people were slightly injured during the evacuation of an All Nippon Airways Dreamliner that made an emergency landing in Japan on Wednesday, police said.

"We have reports that several people were slightly injured," said a spokesman at Kagawa police, which covers the Takamatsu area in western Japan.

"We heard they sustained injuries - minor ones such as scratches - when they were getting out of the plane," he said.

Broadcaster NHK quoted a passenger saying he had feared the plane was going to crash as it flew over Japan's fourth largest island of Shikoku.

"I smelled something strange when the plane was going into a cruising altitude after take-off," he told the broadcaster. "I didn't see smoke."

"The plane then started descending rapidly and I thought 'this could crash'. I was surprised as there was an announcement that it was making an emergency landing at Takamatsu airport." - AFP

Japanese airlines ground Boeing 787s after emergency landing

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's two leading airlines grounded their fleets of Boeing 787s on Wednesday after one of the Dreamliner passenger jets made an emergency landing, heightening safety concerns over a plane many see as the future of commercial aviation.

All Nippon Airways Co said it was grounding all 17 of its 787s and Japan Airlines Co said it was suspending all flights scheduled for departure on Wednesday. The two carriers operate around half of the 50 Dreamliners delivered by Boeing to date.

"I think you're nearing the tipping point where they need to regard this as a serious crisis," said Richard Aboulafia, a senior analyst with the Teal Group in Fairfax, Virginia. "This is going to change people's perception of the aircraft if they don't act quickly."

ANA said instruments on domestic flight 692 to Haneda Airport near Tokyo from Yamaguchi in western Japan indicated a battery error, triggering emergency warnings to the pilots. The carrier said the battery was the same type as one that caused a fire on another Dreamliner at a U.S. airport last week.

All 129 passengers and eight crew were evacuated safely via the plane's inflatable chutes. At a news conference, ANA said a smell was detected in the cockpit and the cabin, and pilots received emergency warning of smoke in the forward electronic compartment.

The incident follows a series of mishaps for the new Dreamliner. The sophisticated plane, the world's first mainly carbon-composite airliner, has suffered fuel leaks, a battery fire, wiring problem, brake computer glitch and cracked cockpit window in recent days alone.

SMOKE ON BOARD

Flight 692 left Yamaguchi Airport shortly after 8 a.m. local time (11:00 p.m. British time Tuesday), but made an emergency landing in Takamatsu at 8:45 a.m. after smoke appeared in the cockpit, an Osaka airport authority spokesman said.

Records of the flight show the plane left 10 minutes after its scheduled departure time for a 65-minute flight, according to flight-tracking website Flightaware.com. About 18 minutes later, at 30,000 feet, it began a descent. It descended to 20,000 feet in about four minutes and landed about 16 minutes later.

Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said five people were slightly injured during the evacuation.

Boeing spokesman Marc Birtel told Reuters: "We've seen the reports, we're aware of the events and are working with our customer."

The Teal Group's Aboulafi said regulators could ground all 50 of the 787 planes now in service, while airlines may make the decision themselves. "They may want to protect their own brand images," he said.

Australia's Qantas Airways said its order for 15 Dreamliners remained on track, and its Jetstar subsidiary was due to take delivery of the first of the aircraft in the second half of this year. Qantas declined to comment further on the issues that have plagued the new light, fuel-efficient aircraft.

Last August, Qantas cancelled orders for 35 787-9 aircraft to cut costs after posting a full-year net loss for the first time in 17 years. It still has options and purchase rights for 50 of the planes from 2016. The Jetstar order is for 787-8s, the smaller variant of the wide-body, twin-engine jet.

India's aviation regulator said it was reviewing the Dreamliner's safety. State-owned Air India has six of the aircraft in service and more on order.

Shares of Dreamliner suppliers in Japan came under pressure on Wednesday, with Fuji Heavy Industries, GS Yuasa Corp -- which makes the plane's batteries -- Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, IHI and Toray Industries Inc down between 1.6 percent and 4.2 percent, while the benchmark Nikkei dropped 1.5 percent. ANA shares slipped 0.5 percent.

Japan's transport minister on Tuesday acknowledged that passenger confidence in the Dreamliner was at stake, as both Japan and the United States have opened broad and open-ended investigations into the plane after the recent incidents.

Japanese authorities said on Monday they would investigate fuel leaks on a JAL-operated 787, and the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said later its agents would analyse the lithium-ion battery and burned wire bundles from a fire aboard another JAL 787 at Boston's Logan Airport last week.

The NTSB said via Twitter late on Tuesday that it was gathering information on the ANA flight's emergency landing.

ANA to ground entire Dreamliner fleet, says NHK

TOKYO - Japan's All Nippon Airways is to ground its entire fleet of 17 Dreamliners, NHK reported Wednesday, after a 787 made an emergency landing in western Japan, the latest in a series of glitches.

"Following the emergency landing, ANA will ground all its other 16 Dreamliners for emergency inspections," the broadcaster said in a Tweet, without citing sources. - AFP

Missoni's Venezuela pilot, airline not licenced -Italy probe

ROME (Reuters) - The airline and the pilot of a plane that went missing in Venezuela on January 4 with Italian fashion executive Vittorio Missoni, his wife and four others on board were not licenced to fly, Italian investigators said on Tuesday.

Italy's agency for flight security, ANSV, said its investigation had found that the airline that owned the plane was not fully licenced to operate and that the pilot's licence had expired on November 30, more than a month before the flight.

The plane carrying Missoni, 58, his wife, Maurizia Castiglioni, another couple, a Venezuelan crew member, and the pilot - who was in his early 70s - disappeared after taking off from the resort of Los Roques, an archipelago off the coast.

Italy has sent rescue personnel to help in the search for the plane.

Missoni is the oldest child of the founders of the fashion house famous for its exuberantly coloured knits, featuring bold stripes and zigzags. He is co-owner with siblings Luca and Angela, who handle the technical and design sides of the firm.

ANA-operated Boeing 787 makes emergency landing, smoke in cockpit - Osaka Airport

TOKYO (Reuters) - A Boeing 787 operated by All Nippon Airways Co made an emergency landing in Takamatsu in western Japan after smoke appeared in the plane's cockpit, but all 137 passengers and crew members were evacuated safely, the Osaka Airport said on Wednesday.

The incident comes on top of a slew of recent problems with Boeing's new Dreamliner aircraft. The sophisticated new plane, the world's first mainly carbon-composite airliner, suffered two fuel leaks, a battery fire, a wiring problem, brake computer glitch and cracked cockpit window last week.

Wednesday's flight bound for Haneda Airport near Tokyo left Yamaguchi Airport in Western Japan shortly after 8 am JST (2300 GMT) but made an emergency landing at 8:45 after smoke appeared in the cockpit.

It was not immediately clear what caused the smoke.

Boeing spokesman Marc Birtel, told Reuters: "We've seen the reports, we're aware of the events and are working with our customer".

Japan is the biggest market so far for the Dreamliner, with JAL and local rival All Nippon Airways Co flying 24 of the 50 Dreamliners delivered to date.

ANA: Battery problem forces Dreamliner emergency landing

TOKYO: A problem with a battery on board an All Nippon Airways Dreamliner forced it to make an emergency landing in Japan Wednesday, the airline said.

"During the flight (the pilots) had an error message saying 'battery problem'," said an ANA spokesman. "We are still investigating what exactly happened," he added, without confirming reports there was smoke in the cockpit. - AFP

280 penerbangan di China dibatal: penumpang berang

BEIJING 6 Jan. - Lebih 280 penerbangan di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Changshui dekat bandar selatan China, Kunming dibatalkan akibat kabus tebal semalam memaksa ribuan penumpang terkandas ketika negara ini berhadapan dengan cuaca sejuk terburuk dalam tempoh tiga dekad.

Agensi berita Xinhua melaporkan, keadaan itu mengakibatkan ribuan penumpang yang terkandas lebih daripada sehari berang dan bergaduh dengan kakitangan syarikat penerbangan serta merosakkan peralatan komputer milik syarikat sekali gus memaksa polis campur tangan bagi meleraikan pergelutan tersebut.

KLIA2 dilancar ikut tarikh perasmian KLIA?

SEPANG 5 Jan. - Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak berharap terminal klia2 di sini akan dilancarkan pada 28 Jun selari dengan tarikh perasmian terminal utama Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA) pada 1998.

Najib berkata, walaupun pembinaan klia2 dijadual siap lebih awal iaitu pada Mei tetapi beliau mahu persiapan rapi dilakukan sebelum lapangan terbang tersebut beroperasi bagi menggantikan Terminal Penerbangan Tambang Murah (LCCT).

''Saya telah nyatakan bahawa klia2 tidak perlu dibuka secara terburu-buru dan boleh beroperasi apabila sudah bersiap-sedia sepenuhnya.

''Tarikh pelancaran harus padan dengan tarikh pembukaan KLIA. Saya berharap akan berpeluang untuk merasmikan klia2 pada 28 Jun dengan jawatan sedia ada (sebagai Perdana Menteri)," katanya dalam majlis pelancaran pesawat AirAsia yang dihiasi lukisan konsep 1Malaysia di sini hari ini.

Yang turut hadir, Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek; Pengerusi AirAsia Berhad, Datuk Aziz Bakar; Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif (CEO) Kumpulan AirAsia , Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Pengarah Urusan Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd., Tan Sri Bashir Ahmad dan Timbalan CEO Kumpulan AirAsia, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun.

Selepas melancarkannya, Perdana Menteri bersama pemimpin korporat AirAsia menaiki pesawat 1Malaysia tersebut yang berlepas dari LCCT dan mendarat di Kuantan, Pahang.

Dalam majlis yang sama, Najib turut mengumumkan bahawa AirAsia akan memulakan Program Integrasi 1Malaysia yang menawarkan penerbangan percuma terutamanya kepada mereka yang tidak pernah menaiki pesawat bagi meningkatkan integrasi antara semenanjung dengan Sabah dan Sarawak.

Maklumat lanjut mengenai Program Integrasi 1Malaysia dijangka diumum AirAsia pada Isnin ini.

Dalam pada itu, Najib berkata,kehadirannya dalam majlis AirAsia hari ini adalah bagi memberikan pengiktirafan kepada syarikat penerbangan tambang murah tersebut yang merupakan jenama terkenal dunia dan contoh kejayaan konsep 1Malaysia.

''AirAsia merupakan contoh hidup 1Malaysia dan menunjukkan bahawa dengan cara bekerjasama, kita boleh mencapai apa yang sukar sebelumnya.

''1Malaysia adalah berpaksi kepada prinsip inklusif dan kita mesti sedar bahawa potensi negara boleh direalisasi jika bertindak sebagai satu komuniti," katanya.

Tambah Perdana Menteri, kerajaan sentiasa menyokong syarikat negara ini untuk menjadi jaguh di peringkat serantau dan global.
